Positive Thinking Is Practical
By Janno Damgaard Lassen
Negativity is a state that can cause depression and illness. Some people come from negative backgrounds. Negative attitudes can be learnt. It is up to the parent to ensure that a child grows up in a balanced environment. In order to succeed in life it is necessary to be able to conjure up the possibility of success in any situation. This leads to positive thinking in order to find a positive solution.
People who are negative about life in general very often do not develop their problem solving skills. This is because they do not see the need to find a solution if there is no point. Positive thinking is what gets us out of tricky and bad situations. Can you imagine winning a war if you believe you are going to lose? Winners are able to actually see their victory. Not only do they see their victory, but they believe it is going to happen. If you are in a state of positive thinking your decisions will be a lot different to the person who believes in defeat.
There is a strong belief that approximately as much as ninety percent of all disease and illness has its roots in psychology. An actual study was done in the nineteen forties. It was discovered that most of the women who were depressed had a far greater chance of developing a disease as serious as cancer. This proves that your state of mind has enormous power over your physical body. The belief in positive thinking is not new. There are indications of this knowledge in many religions around the world.
Positive Thinking Sees The Glass As Half Full
Positive thinking can become a habit. All you have to do is think positive thoughts from the time you wake up. If you are in the habit of harboring negative thoughts it will not be easy. But with practice it is possible. Every now and then throughout the day remind yourself that good things will happen. Even if there is a bad experience in your day, tell yourself the outcome will be good. In your mind see the good outcome. If necessary made a decision based on achieving this result.
As soon as you start practicing positive thinking your whole mood will change. You become more upbeat and other people begin to notice. Your positive thinking will rub off on them. Positive thinking is like a chain reaction. Before you know it the whole atmosphere will be charged with positivity. This is when wonderful things start to happen. Lives change because individuals start believing they can get things done. Positive thinking causes people to be happy and rids the world of depression. Great obstacles have been overcome by individuals who had the capacity for positive thinking.

[...] The power of positive thinking cannot be underrated. Remember Eeyore, the famously depressed and negative-thinking character in the Winnie the Pooh stories? Poor Eeyore always saw the worst case of any situation. When faced with the possibility of a negative outcome, Eeyore would immediately embrace that negative outcome as the only possible result. [...]
